When to Buy Electronics on Amazon

Electronics pricing is noisy

Consumer electronics change price more frequently than most categories. Lightning Deals, Prime-exclusive discounts, and marketplace competition create constant movement. That makes single-point comparisons risky — you need at least a few weeks of history to draw any useful conclusion.

Seasonal patterns matter

Major electronics discounts cluster around Prime Day (mid-year) and Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Outside those windows, genuine deep discounts are rarer. If a product shows a sharp drop in an off-season month, check whether the 90-day range supports it or whether it's an anomaly.

Refurbished and warehouse deals

Promo Radar tracks the Buy Box price, which is usually new-condition from Amazon or a top-ranked seller. Refurbished, open-box, and Amazon Warehouse offers follow different pricing logic and aren't reflected in our data. If you're comparison-shopping across conditions, treat our analysis as the new-price benchmark.
