How to Compare Amazon Prices Across Countries

Same ASIN, different price

Amazon prices vary by marketplace due to import costs, tax structures, seller competition, and regional demand. A product on amazon.com might be 30% cheaper than the same ASIN on amazon.de — or the other way around. There is no universal "cheapest" marketplace.

Currency matters more than percentage

A 15% discount on amazon.co.jp means something different than 15% on amazon.com. Always convert to your local currency before comparing. What looks like a deal in one marketplace might not be after conversion and shipping.

What Promo Radar does — and doesn't — compare

Promo Radar compares each product against its own 90-day history within that marketplace. We do not compare the same product across different countries. A "buy" on amazon.de means the price is low for that specific marketplace, not that it's cheaper than amazon.com.

When cross-border shopping makes sense

For high-value electronics and specialty items, checking multiple marketplaces can save significant money — especially if the product ships internationally. For everyday items, the shipping cost usually eliminates any price advantage.
